Thanks you to everyone who joined us in a packed out St. Matthew’s Church for an evening of pop classics from the 60s to the 90s, with our friends from Shoe Town Big Band

As well as performing at a very wet and windy Christmas Lights switch-on in November, NVCB were also back at the Market Square this weekend performing as part of Carols on the Square.

Nene Valley Community Band are pleased to share our recording of the Theme to Schindler’s List featuring guest cellist Steven Hunt and supported by members of Naseby Village Band. Recorded earlier this year at St. Matthew’s Church.
Over 200 audience members, plus a band made from Nene Valley Community Band with guests from Naseby Village Band, Shoe Town Big Band and Northampton Concert Band filled St. Matthew’s Church on Saturday 4th October.
We were joined by Cello soloist Stephen Hunt, Pianists Livia Chung and Aaryan Rana, and vocalists Matt Coulton and Miya Phillips to bring highlights from the world of stage and screen on the band’s 10th anniversary
On 17th May Nene Valley Community Band opened proceedings at Abington Park Bandstand, celebrating 125 years of public performances.

The band spent the majority of the year working towards our concert at St. Matthew’s Church in October, supported by Naseby Village Band.
Our concert featured solo pieces from Donna Rowan Gold on Oboe, David Farrow on Horn and guest vocalist Hélène Waters as well as a wide variety of film score, military and classical pieces.










This year Nene Valley Community Band were invited to play at the the Milton Keynes City of Lights Festival in Cambpell Park. We provided the warm-up to the lights procession, final concert and drone display.
