Catch Nene Valley Community Band in concert this Christmas!

Over November and December this year you have 3 chances to see NVCB in action.

On 25th November we will be playing at Becket’s Park as part of the Northampton Christmas Lights Switch On festival alongside a host of other entertainment throughout the day. Catch us from 14:45.

On Sunday 3rd December we will be joining our friends at Abington Wind Band for a concert at Northampton High School, Hardingstone from 3pm-5pm. Tickets are £10 adults and £2.50 children, available from www.ticketsource.co.uk/abington-wind-band

And finally, you can catch us whilst you finish your Christmas shopping in Northampton on Saturday 9th December outside the Guildhall from 12pm

Sounds of the Savoy

Nene Valley Community Band are excited to be headlining our first concert at the Deco Theatre, Northampton.

Together with special guests from Abington Wind Band, Potterspury Big Band and more, we will be bringing the music of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Kinks to the auditorium where they played nearly 60 years ago.

Remembrance Day Recording

This Saturday, Nene Valley Community Band and the Open Stage Choir , along with additional musicians from Abington Wind Band will be making a special recording of Hymn to The Fallen, the theme from Saving Private Ryan.

We will be sharing the recorded video hopefully in time for Remembrance Sunday, watch this space!

Thank you to everyone who has spent the last 3 months working on this piece, it promises to be a very special occasion for us all.

Another year at the Northampton Umbrella Fair Festival – 20th & 21st August 2016

And they’re at it again …

Nene Valley Community Band will be performing at the Umbrella Fair Festival again this year on the 21st of August 2016.  We’ll be returning with an expanded repertoire but the same variety of musical styles.  Although it’s peak holiday season, we’ll be there in numbers and make a good showing.

Unlike last year, when we performed a short set at lunch time, we’ll be on in the evening, playing from 7pm, and we’re looking forward to it immensely…
