We were honoured to have the family of Margaret Brown, a much loved member of our band who sadly passed away last year, with us as we unveiled Abington Park’s latest bench.
Situated with a view of the bandstand and dedicated from Nene Valley Community Band, we felt this was an appropriate memorial to someone who loved music and played many times at Abington Park bandstand
Thanks to all of you who came and supported us at Abington Park on Sunday 30th August. The weather was (mostly) kind to us and it was a brilliant way to finish off our summer of performances.
Tickets go on sale very soon for our Christmas concert on 5th December at St. Matthew’s church with Headlands school choir and other special guests.
Nene Valley Community Band have been busy this summer – thank you to all who saw us perform at Irchester Village Hall, Weston Favell Library or Northampton Golf Club. A big thanks to Vicki Ramsbottom for standing in as MD at Weston Favell, and thanks to all those from Shoe Town Big Band and Naseby Village Band who’ve joined our ranks over the summer.
